I can read!

What can you read?

Possibly more than you think.

This book was initially written to build confidence in children who were delayed in their reading, and to bring to their awareness that they are actually reading all day long. They may be reading numbers or music, or the tide or even the room - just not books, yet.

RRP $30.00

Rally Reading books are written for all ages and all levels of experience. They are designed to give early readers the opportunity to learn through observation and experience, by reading together with a more competent reader.

Rally Reading refers to rallying the troops – gathering together as a group to enthusiastically support a budding reader.

These books came about from working with young people who struggle with reading. The older they get, the more they tend to avoid reading and the further they lag behind. I want them to know that they can read, that they read many things all day long, just maybe not books, yet.

Thomas S

I was sitting in a waiting room and picked up what I initially thought was just a children’s book, called Big Cats.

I was a couple of pages into the book and tears started rolling down my face. Not long after I realised that I was deeply moved and touched by this so-called kid’s book.

It was actually very informative and I found it really interesting, as a mature adult I learnt a lot.

I couldn’t help but imagine how different my childhood could have been 55 years ago

if books of this calibre were given to me to read.

In addition, this book treats the child with integrity and respect, not talking down or dismissing the child in any way.
